Types of Instruments

An orchestra consists of four sections of musical instruments depending on how they are played, these are Strings, Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, . Each section has a number of instruments in them, a more detailed description is given in each of the pages within this section of the website.

Strings

The strings section includes the following instruments:
